That's a good thing because Age of Wonders III was a great series.īut you guys need to put in a tactical only combat mode so that those of us that want a multiplayer experience with big armies do not have to play a 12 hour empire campaign to get it. The only difference is going to be in small gameplay dynamics. We all know that this game is just reskinning Age of Wonders III into a sci-fi theme because the game looks and handles exactly the same way. I guarantee you having good multiplayer options can make a game go viral because it will establish a vibrant and dynamic community that will grow the game community quickly and too a high capacity. Not putting this in the game is just lazy.
This was not implemented in the Age of Wonders Series, even though it was suggested many times. I think that this mode would end up cemented a vibrant multiplayer community who would not otherwise play the game in multiplayer mode because it would be too time consuming. I think there should be a multiplayer or skirmish option where you design an army based on a certain amount of currency and fight against other players who also design an army.
Everyone likes the idea and it has been implemented in Heroes of Might and Magic and Etherlords 1 and 2 and it should be available in all 4x games that have tactical combat as a baseline option.
